Terms of Use
This document is being reviewed — content reflects ATLAS's commitments as of 2025. A refresh is planned post-launch. Last revised: May 18, 2026
Thank you for using atlas-data.sea-lion.ai ("the Site"). By accessing and using any part of the Site, you agree to be legally bound by all Terms of Use ("Terms"), which govern access of all areas of the Site. Other terms of use (which will be indicated to you) may apply upon your download of datasets from the Site or if you are redirected to other websites. If you do not accept any of these Terms, please do not use the Site.
In these Terms, the words "we", "our" and "us" refer to AI Singapore.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Data Licensing Policy are incorporated into and form part of these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you also agree to be bound by those documents.
1. Revision of Terms
These Terms may be changed from time to time. All changes will be posted on this page and your use of the Site after such changes have been posted will constitute your agreement to the changed Terms. For material changes, we will use reasonable efforts to notify registered users (for example, by email or by an on-Site notice) and, where required by applicable law, will obtain renewed acceptance before the changes take effect for those users.
2. Eligibility and Access
a. Website Purpose
The Site operates as an online data sharing platform and marketplace to enable third-party data providers ("Data Providers") to list, describe, and provide access to their datasets, which may include voice recordings, audio and text data, numerical data, images, documents, video, geospatial data, and other computer vision and/or multimodal datasets (each, a "Dataset") for use by approved end users ("End Users"). The Site facilitates the discovery, access, and, where applicable, hosting and delivery of Datasets, but we do not license or sell Datasets to you.
b. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and our Data Licensing Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms or any provisions hereof, please do not access or use the Site.
c. Use and Eligibility
You may only use the Site if you can form a binding contract with AI Singapore (either on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent), and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules and regulations.
By accessing or using the Site, including by registering a User Account (defined below), you represent and warrant that (A) you are at least 18 years of age, (B) you will use the Site in accordance with the Agreement and all applicable local, state, national and international laws, rules and regulations, and (C) if registering on behalf of a company, organization or other entity, you are an authorized representative of the entity and have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms. The Site is not available to any users previously removed from the Site by AI Singapore.
For clarity: the minimum age of 18 above is the age at which a person can form a binding contract under Singapore law. Our Privacy Policy describes separately how we handle personal data of minors under 13. Both apply.
d. End User Account
In order to use the Site, you will be required to register for an account ("End User Account") on behalf of yourself or, if applicable, on behalf of any entity for which you are authorized to act. You are responsible for ensuring that (A) all required registration information you submit is truthful and accurate, and (B) your contact information is current. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your End User Account login information. You agree not to share your login credentials or access to your End User Account with anybody. We are not liable for any losses incurred by you or any party as a result of unauthorized use of your End User Account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your End User Account.
e. End User License Terms
All licenses for access to and use of Datasets are granted to you directly by the applicable Data Provider, under that Data Provider's license terms for such Dataset ("End User License"). In order to access or download a Dataset, you must first review and accept the applicable End User License provided by the Data Provider. Your rights to use any Dataset are solely as granted in that End User License, subject to the platform-level rules set out in our Data Licensing Policy.
f. Supplemental Dataset User Terms
If you access or use a Dataset through the Site, such access and use is also subject to the additional terms set forth in our Data Licensing Policy. The Data Licensing Policy is incorporated by reference into and forms part of these Terms. Our Data Licensing Policy applies to each Dataset in addition to, not in lieu of, the applicable End User License.
3. Use of the Website
a. Permitted Use of the Website
Subject to these Terms and all applicable laws, you may use the Website for the limited purpose of discovering, accessing and downloading Datasets made available by Data Providers.
b. Use of Datasets and APIs
Use of Datasets is governed by the license that each Data Provider applies to its Dataset, as described in our Data Licensing Policy. Access to Datasets via application programming interfaces (APIs) is additionally governed by the API Terms of Service set out in Appendix 1. The remaining terms in this Section 3 and Section 4 (Intellectual Property) govern use of the Site itself — they do not govern use of the Datasets.

The accessibility and operation of the Site relies on technologies outside our control. We do not guarantee continuous accessibility or uninterrupted operation of the Site.
d. Relying on Information
We provide the Site as a general information source only and we are not involved in giving professional advice here. The Site may not cover all information available on a particular issue. Before relying on the Site, you should do your own checks or obtain professional advice relevant to your particular circumstances.
e. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. It is available on the Site and forms part of these Terms.
f. Proprietary Rights
The contents of the Site, including source code, pages, documents and online graphics, audio and video in the Site, are protected by copyright, trademark and other forms of proprietary rights. All rights, title and interest in the materials are owned by, licensed to or controlled by us. Except as otherwise provided, the contents of the Site shall not be modified, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or otherwise distributed in any way, without prior written permission. For the avoidance of doubt, this Section does not apply to Datasets, which are governed by their applicable licenses and our Licensing Policy.
g. Security

However, we do not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transactions and other communications made through the Site. Internet communications may be susceptible to interference or interception by third parties. 4. Intellectual Property
Apart from any fair dealings for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted in law, no part of the Site may be reproduced or reused for any commercial purposes whatsoever without our prior written permission. This Section does not apply to Datasets, which are governed by their applicable licenses and our Data Licensing Policy.
5. Modification, Suspension and Termination
a. Modification
AI Singapore reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Site (or any part thereof), with or without notice. You agree, at your own expense, to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Singapore and its affiliates, agents, licensors, managers, and other affiliated companies, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) incurred in, arising out of or in any way related to: (i) your breach of these Terms or any End User License; (ii) your (or via any other user's use of your End User Account) use of or access to the Site; (iii) any dispute between you and any Data Provider; (iv) your violation of any applicable law, rule or regulation; and (v) your negligence or wilful misconduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI Singapore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any Dataset, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not AI Singapore has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI Singapore's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed SGD 100 or the equivalent in another currency. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

AI Singapore does not endorse or assume any responsibility for any such third-party sites, information, materials, products, or services. Appendix 1: API Terms of Service
AI Singapore may offer datasets through an API. Use of Datasets accessed via the API is governed by the license that each Data Provider applies to its Dataset, as described in our Data Licensing Policy. The service through which you may access datasets via APIs is subject to these API Terms of Service ("API Terms"). By using an API on the Relevant Sites, you agree to these API Terms.
What you can do
- You can use, access, call, command, query or request the API, whether commercially or non-commercially ("Use").
- If your API Client(s) are intended to be distributed as or as part of a software library, you may grant a sub-licence of the APIs if this is necessary to enable other persons ("your Sub-Licensees") to incorporate and/or distribute your API Client(s) in their software programs.
- If your Sub-Licensees require additional rights, your application and/or website should direct your Sub-Licensees to obtain the appropriate licence at atlas-data.sea-lion.ai.
Limitations
These API Terms do not grant you any rights over:
- any personal data should any personal data be included or exposed through the APIs, inadvertently or otherwise; and
- any intellectual property found in content accessible through the APIs.
These API Terms do not grant any rights to Downstream Sub-Licensees.
Additional conditions
Access to datasets through APIs is subject to the following:
- Your right to Use APIs may be subject to additional terms, including limitations on Use, found on the individual pages of each API. You agree that AI Singapore may monitor your Use of the API to improve the service, track usage, to ensure compliance with these API Terms, or for security purposes.

AI Singapore makes no representations or warranties in relation to the APIs, including but not limited to any representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, service levels, continued availability, timeliness, non-infringement, title, quality or fitness for any particular purpose of the APIs to the fullest extent permitted by the law.
To the extent permitted by law, AI Singapore shall not be liable to you or any third party whether in contract, tort (including negligence), restitution, breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for damage or loss of any kind arising directly or indirectly from your or any third party's Use of, or inability to Use, the APIs or the Relevant Sites.
AI Singapore's provision of APIs does not prevent AI Singapore from:
- developing its own products or services, some of which may offer the same or similar functionalities as your API Client(s) and/or any of your products or services; or
- modifying any APIs or methods of accessing the APIs at any time.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights subsisting in or used in connection with the APIs are the property of AI Singapore. For the avoidance of doubt, this does not affect intellectual property rights in any Dataset, which remain with the relevant Data Provider in accordance with our Data Licensing Policy.
