Cookie Policy
This document is being reviewed — content reflects ATLAS's commitments as of 2025. A refresh is planned post-launch. Last revised: May 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AI Singapore uses cookies and similar technologies on the ATLAS-Data website (the "Site"), available at https://atlas-data.sea-lion.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the operators of the site. Other technologies described in this Policy — including web beacons, local storage, and similar mechanisms — work in comparable ways.
This Policy explains what cookies we use on the Site, why we use them, and how you can control them. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how parts of the Site function for you.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
For purposes of consent under applicable data protection law (including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR")), the cookies we use fall into two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function. These include cookies that maintain your login session, remember your cookie preferences, and provide basic security (for example, protection against cross-site request forgery). Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under applicable law, because the Site cannot operate without them; and
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how users interact with the Site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this purpose (see Section 3 below). Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before setting analytics cookies, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell access to your data for advertising purposes.
Other ways to describe cookies
For reference, cookies are also commonly classified by who sets them and how long they persist:
- First-party cookies are set by AI Singapore when you visit the Site;
- Third-party cookies are set by service providers we use, such as Google Analytics;
- Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser; and
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them.
3. Specific Cookies We Use
The table below lists the cookies currently used on the Site. We update this list when our cookie use changes. If you notice a cookie on your device that is not listed here, please contact us using the details in Section 7.

4. Your Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the Site cannot function without them.
Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before setting analytics cookies. You can give, withdraw, or change your consent at any time using the cookie preference controls on our Site. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out under your earlier consent.
5. How to Control or Delete Cookies
In addition to our on-Site cookie preferences, you can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Most browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies, delete cookies already stored, or be notified when a cookie is set. Consult your browser's help pages for instructions;
- You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available from Google; and
- Where required by applicable law, we will honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals received from your browser. We do not respond to other Do Not Track signals, as there is currently no industry-standard interpretation of those signals.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Site (including signing in to your account and downloading Datasets) may not function correctly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our cookie use or for legal reasons. We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy. Where the changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to notify users (for example, by re-prompting for consent through our cookie preference controls).
7. Contact
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or about how we use cookies, please contact us at [email protected].
Responsibility for cookies on the Site:
